NZ 'Near Zero' VOC 1K Urethane Chemistries

Spraylat has introduced a new family of environmentally friendly, water-based, one-component NZ 'Near Zero' VOC urethane products. Spraylat’s 1K, NZ 'Near Zero' products offer VOC of 0.2 to 0.6 lbs. /gal. Spraylat’s NZ 'Near Zero' technology family includes both a 1K air-dry and a 1K forced-dry hybrid product. It also includes a high temperature bake product.

As the greenest liquid coating system available, NZ water-based products are also chrome-free and HAPS free. These 1K NZ products are also designed to applied direct-to-metal. As a direct-to-metal product, the corrosion performance achieved with these coatings is excellent. Results shown below are for 1/16th of an inch creep.

Spraylat’s NZ 'Near Zero' 1K water-based coatings also provide excellent gloss characteristics. Gloss retention, as evaluated in QUV Accelerated Exposure Testing shows comparable or superior performance compared to other currently available urethane coatings.

General Product Use
Spraylat’s IK NZ 'Near Zero' urethane coatings are intended for applications where production paint application is better suited for use of a single-component product. These coatings are also intended for direct-to-metal applications where corrosion protection requirements are less than those attainable with a 2K product. Corrosion protection, when applied over a high quality primer, is excellent.
