NZ “Near Zero” VOC 2K Urethane Chemistries Spraylat has recently introduced leading edge, 2K urethane chemistries that deliver both performance and environmental compliance. Both solvent-based and water-based NZ “Near Zero” urethane top coats are offered by Spraylat.
The combination of our 2K, water-based NZ “Near Zero” urethane topcoat and water-based epoxy primer delivers a compliant coating system with a total VOC of less than 0.2 lbs. /gal. In applications where the final top coat will be applied at another facility, Spraylat’s new water-based epoxy primer can be top-coated with solvent or water-based products. Spraylat’s 2K, NZ “Near Zero” solvent-based top coat offers a very low VOC of 1.0 lbs./gal and is compatible with the water-based primer. Coating Properties

The chemical resistance of this technology is also comparable to solvent-based coating systems. Salt spray results, per ASTM B117, are shown below. Salt Spray Performance
General Product Use Spraylat’s 2K NZ “Near Zero” urethane top coat and 2K epoxy water-based primer coating system is particularly suited for use on utility and maintenance vehicle, farm and construction equipment, electrical machinery, refrigeration and heating equipment and general industrial machinery. It is also an excellent coating for applications such as vessels, tanks, cylinders, etc. Spraylat’s 2K NZ “Near Zero” water-based and solvent-based urethane coatings are also suited for metal finishing applications where outstanding film properties are required. This includes the automotive and machine tool industries as a result of the coatings excellent resistance to solvents, lubricants, cutting oils and other chemicals.
