Architectural applications demand coatings that deliver toughness, durability and long term weatherability. Traditionally, these high performance architectural coatings have been based on liquid coating technology that is very high in VOC's. Spraylat has taken a leadership role with a line of high performance, architectural powder coating products. These Spraylat products include NEWLAR®, a 100%fluoropolymer resin-based powder product and ARC 2001®, a proprietary formula based on super polyester technology. These powder products deliver an economical, environmentally compliant coating that contributes towards LEED credits of the US Green Building Council. In addition to their excellent weatherability, both NEWLAR and ARC 2001 coatings deliver improved hardness, chemical and corrosion resistance without a primer.

Spraylat’s architectural coatings are electrostatically applied, providing a very uniform finish. In order to satisfy AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) performance requirements, proper pretreatment of the aluminum substrate is required using either an approved chromate conversion coating or a non-chrome final seal per AAMA 2605-05. Typical applications range from aluminum extrusions, windows, doors, curtain wall, skylight framing, playground and recreational equipment, as well as lightpoles, louvers, railings, stadium seating, etc.
