Cleaning Recommendations
for Architectural Powder Coatings

The cleaning recommendations for Spraylat's architectural powder coating series are an integral part to the warranties given for gloss and color retention as well as chalking.

The warranty requires that regular cleaning has to be performed periodically, at least once a year.

The conditions are as follows:

Clean Water with slight amounts of mild alkaline detergents must be used.

The cleaning effect maybe increased by rubbing with a soft, non scratching cloth or cotton with modest pressure.

The temperature of the parts to be cleaned must not exceed 80°F.

For removal of grease and oily substances isopropyl alcohol maybe used.

The cleaning solution must not be allowed to react for more then one hour.

After cleaning the surfaces must be rinsed with clean, cold water.

A proper maintenance record has to be kept and documented. This documentation must contain the following information:
